Barley Frise

Bakery product typical of Apulian Salentine tradition, Agricola del Sole Barley Frise have a rustic taste and an intense flavour, like that of whole grain products. Few and genuine ingredients, according to traditional local recipes, make our Frise through the mixture of barley flour with type 00 soft wheat flour. Crispy and crumbly they have the same texture of classic frise and the organoleptic properties of barley.

Consumption advice

In Puglia Barley Frise are usually eaten as snacks. They are quickly soaked in water and then seasoned with extra virgin olive oil, tomatoes and oregano: a great hymn to the Apulian character! Barley Frise are very tasty when they are served with both raw and cooked vegetables and extra virgin olive oil.
We recommend tasting Barley Frise with a good glass of Spaccapietre DOC Castel del Monte Masseria Faraona wine.
